James Square is a shared community website for residents and owners. It’s a place access useful info about the area, to discuss issues or topics with other residents and owners, access owners’ documents and AGM details, take part in votes, and stay up to date with what’s happening around the square.

The site also provides the booking portal for the pool, gym, and sauna.

This website is still evolving and will continue to be improved over time. Ideas, suggestions, and feedback are always welcome.

Resident Update – Tuesday 10th March

On Tuesday 10th March the fire alarm was triggered at James Square following an issue within the swimming pool plant room.

The cause was identified as a small hole in a pipe connected to the chlorine system. As the pipe operates under pressure, water sprayed onto the wall and ceiling area where the electrical fuse box is located, causing the fuses to blow and resulting in a small electrical fire within the fuse box.

An electrician has since attended and restored most of the power, however some breakers still require to be replaced and the damaged chlorine pipe is due to be replaced.

The pool has now reopened on a phased basis while the remaining repairs are carried out. As the dehumidifier is not currently operational, the pool temperature has been lowered slightly to help reduce evaporation and humidity within the pool area.

Owner Notice

Update – Appointment of New Factor

Following the conclusion of the owner vote, the factor for James Square was formally changed from Fior Asset & Property to Myreside Management Limited with effect from 1 February 2026.

Owners should no longer make any payments to Fior Asset & Property. If any payments have been made to Fior after 1 February 2026, owners are advised to contact Fior directly and request a refund as soon as possible.

Following a meeting with Myreside on 11 March 2026, it was confirmed that approximately 50% of owners at James Square have already begun making payments to Myreside since February. Myreside are aware that some owners have experienced technical issues with their online portal and are currently working to resolve these. In the meantime, they have asked that any owners who have not yet made payment contact them directly so they can assist.
